Wicklow County Council are proposing the construction of a new roadway which would link Kilmacanogue directly to the congested Woodies roundabout on the Southern Cross Route. This roadway would desecrate the lower slopes of the Little Sugarloaf moluntain, and would result in greatly increased levels of traffic and heavy goods vehicles in Kimacanogue itself. Wicklow County Council practically obliterated Kilmacanogue during their construction of the original N11 project. Now they are trying to finish off what they missed on their last time out !
This bizarre plan must be stopped! The 26 elected members of Wicklow County Council will be voting on this ammendment to the Kilmacanogue Development Plan on the 3rd of December.
